Fair Results

Well, we survived the fair. It was very hot with very long days. I was glad when it was over. Monday we left early and went to get things judged. We were there when the judging started so we were able to get in line and get done pretty quick, but instead of coming back home we sat around and talked to my parents and sister.
We left around 11 and stopped to pick up the car on the way home. They still couldn't fine anything wrong so Curtis was just going to start replacing parts on it. When they went to bring it around it wouldn't start. They were able to figure out what was wrong and get it fixed. Curtis picked it up Tuesday and so far it hasn't died on us.
Tuesday Zane and I got up and headed back to the fair to get the rocks judged. We stayed all day and watched the pig show and then the parade. We stayed the night at my sisters in Nortonville. Wednesday we had to be back at the fair by 8am to work the concession stand. After we got done we went back to my sisters and relaxed some in the afternoon. I tried to take a nap but Zane and his cousins argued and whined all afternoon. That evening we went back to the fair and looked around. It stormed and rain some so we didn't stay very long. We stayed the night at Nortonville again and Thursday we went and watched the dairy show and at 2 we were able to pick up Zanes exhibits and we came home. I was very glad to be home. We had about a hour before Curtis got home and they we had 2 volleyball games last night.
Today I have done all the laundry and all the dishes Curtis didn't do when I was gone. I think Curtis and Zane are going to go to El Dorado this weekend to see his parents. They are going to have a family get together this weekend and I an unfortunately going to miss it.
Here are the fair pictures and results. A Purple is a champion and can be considered for the grand champion in that class.

This is the geology project. Zane got a blue on it and I think he wants to do it again next year. We learned the most on this project.

He got a purple on his "no-sew" sleeping bag.

His honey got Grand Champion. He got a $5 reward for winning.

He got a red on his rocket. He got judged down for having model of a real rocket.

His lego tank got a blue. This was his favorite project and he was very glad when he was able to play with it.

I have to go back to work tomorrow and I really don't want to.
