Update

I thought it was about time I updated this. I had a good Christmas. Curtis got me a red toaster and two vegetable peelers and some other things. Santa got Curtis and I a CD/clock radio and he got Zane almost everything he wanted. We have been busy playing with all the new toys and games. Christmas afternoon we went to my parents. We went to Christmas lunch on my dads side and then had dinner with my moms side. We stayed the night at my parents and had out Christmas the next day. We opened presents around 10am and then fixed lunch while the kids played. We stayed and played cards all afternoon and got home around 8pm. It was a lot of fun.
Tuesday Zane and I stayed in our pj's all day. Something was wrong with the car so I couldn't drive it. Curtis got it fixed after he got home from work. Wednesday Zane and I went and got some stuff for out New Years celebration. We took Curtis out for supper and rented some movies. We were going to go to my in-laws Wednesday evening and stay till Friday afternoon but they were not feeling well so they asked us to come when they were feeling better. It was a good thing we didn't go because I was sick yesterday. I feel a lot better today but my back hurts from laying down so long.
I don't feel like doing much today but I have a lot of laundry to do. Curtis had off yesterday and he has off today. I don't know if we are going to do anything or just hang around the house.

Busy

Well, our cat didn't die. We decided that she had too much flea spray. We have used it several times in the past and have had no problems, but this time it made her sick. She is back to her normal annoying self.
I spent all day yesterday making candy and cookies. I don't want to make anymore, but I know I will have to make some for my family Christmas. I have to wrap all of my presents still. I don't know when I will do it. It will have to be when Zane is gone or well entertained so he will not see any of them. He gets out of school early today and will be out for 14 days. I will be crazy by the time he goes back. I have a lot of errands to do today so I hope he is good for that.
For Christmas we are going to my parents. We are leaving sometime Christmas afternoon and staying the night. We are having dinner with my moms side of the family Christmas night and the next day we will do lunch and presents with my mom, dad and sisters and brother. It should be a lot of fun. There will be 20 people at my parents house. I wish my sister and her husband and 2 boys could be here from Florida. Hopefully they will be able to come next year.
I better go get dressed. I have a busy day.

Rabies

I have to get off the computer and get busy. I have to wash he dishes so I can get some more candy or cookies made. I am almost done making the present I am making and I need to start wrapping presents.
I think our cat has rabies. Zane told me this morning that she had threw up upstairs and a few minutes ago she was laying in her little cat bed that was on the couch and I heard a loud licking noise. I thought she was just cleaning herself but when I looked at her she had white foam coming out of her mouth and she looked like she was trying to lick it off her chin. I chased her out of the living room because I thought she was going to throw up again. I tried to chase her up stairs but she hid under the table. I was gagging every time I saw her or the foam stuff the was getting all over the floor. I called Curtis at work because I didn't know what was wrong. He said he was planning on working half the day so when he got home he would look at her. I hope she stops foaming at the mouth. It is making me sick to see it. I also hope if she has rabies, she doesn't attack me since she doesn't like me. She is mad at me right now because I will not let her in the living room.
I will let you know if anything exciting happens. I better go get busy.

Finished Shopping

Here is a picture of Zane at his school Christmas program. He was suppose to be a toy. He was a G. I. Joe so he got to wear his army helmet.

My angel made this snow angel last week. He played in the snow a lot and wants it to snow again so he can make a snowman.

I have been busy. I didn't have to work Monday so Curtis and I went shopping. We were gone all day but I only got a few of the gifts I had on my list. Curtis started getting grouchy so I decided to go back my myself. Next time we go shopping together I am going to have him sit on the benches at the front of the store where you see all the old men sitting.
I went shopping yesterday, too. I got almost all of my presents bought. I still can't think of anything to get my dad. I might end up getting him an IOU. Now I just have to get everything wrapped. We are going to see Santa tomorrow. I hope Zane has been good enough so he will come and leave him a lot of presents.

I mailed all my Christmas cards today. I have to make candy and finish a gift I am making and I will be ready for Christmas. I better go get busy.

Frozen

I am freezing. I can't get warm. After I write this I am kicking the cat off the couch, wrapping up in all my blankets and doing nothing all afternoon (or at least until I can feel my toes).
My feet are frozen because I was in the kitchen all morning and it that floor is cold. I was starting supper. We are going to have roast with carrots and potatoes. Someone has stolen both of my vegetable peelers so I had to use a knife to peel everything so it took forever and I cut my finger. I don't know why someone would want my vegetable peelers. They were nothing fancy, but I sure missed them today.
All week I have been craving toast for breakfast but I haven't been able to have any because I don't have a toaster. Ours died this summer and we never got a new one. I have one on my Christmas list and I am pretty sure Curtis is getting it for me so I can't go and buy one. I have also wanted to drink a lot of milk this week but we only had about 3/4 a gallon on Tuesday and I didn't want to go get any. I left a message for Curtis at work Tuesday to call me so I could tell him to get some on his way home but he didn't see it. I didn't want to go out in the snow so I was just going to have Curtis get it later in the week but he never did. I didn't get it either since I have not left the house since Tuesday morning. I did get dressed yesterday and I have brushed my teeth and taken showers. I just didn't feel like getting dressed so I put my (clean) pj's back on.
I have done a lot this week. I didn't get a lot of candy made because I didn't have an extra bag of sugar like I thought I did. I have a few more Christmas cards to write and then they are done. Most of the Christmas decorations are out. The person who took my vegetable peelers also took a box of Christmas decorations. It has my tree skirt and some other snowman things in it. I can see why they would want to steel it, the snowmen are very valuable.
I better go thaw out my feet.

Snow Day!

Here are a couple pictures of the snow. Zane and I measures it today and we had between 5-7 inches, depending on where we measured. There was no school today. The news said the snow along with the cold weather and wind chill is why it was canceled.

I took this picture this morning after I slept in a little. The snow is so pretty before it gets walked all over by Zane.

This picture was taken right after Zane got on the bus yesterday around 8:30am. There was just a dusting on the ground. (I know the date says 11/27 but the batteries had died in the camera and I forgot to reset the date.)

I was kinda glad that school was canceled. Zane had his Christmas program tonight I wasn't looking forward to going. It is always really crowded and we always have to sit where we can't see Zane very well. I know it will just be rescheduled for next week but maybe it won't be so cold then. It was -6 degrees this morning and it was warmed up to +8. Zane is playing outside right now. He has been out there for a while I better go get him in. I know he will not want to, but he will freeze if I let him stay out.

Snow

It's Snowing!!!!
I love snow. It makes the cold weather we've been having a lot better. If it is going to be so cold it needs to snow. It is 9 degrees right now. It is cold in our house. I am trying to heat up the kitchen so I can go make some Christmas candy. I am also going to start my Christmas cards today.
So far today I have started laundry and started cutting the padding out of a bra I got. It has snowman on it so I HAD to buy it, but it is padded. I don't know why they put padding in bras over a B cup. It is not needed! Cutting it out is harder than I thought. It is hard to cut and you have to get as close to the edge as you can but not cut through the bra material.
My toes are frozen. The rest of me is warm, but I can't get my toes warm. I have on big, heavy, thick, warm socks and my fuzzy slippers. I hope they warm up soon.
I am going to try to update this more often. It's just that nothing really happens that is very exciting. I did take a picture of the snow at 8:30 and again at 10:30 and I plan on taking more throughout the day so I will try to post them later.

Unproductive

I need to be motivated. I haven't done anything productive this week. I have a huge list of things I could have done.

• put up the outside Christmas lights
• get out my outside snowmen decorations
• clean the living room
• make Christmas candy
• put up the Christmas tree
• decorate the rest of the house
• finish my Christmas shopping (I still have a lot to do)
• write my Christmas cards
• finish the presents I am making

I haven't wanted to do anything until today, but that is just because I had to. I have done several loads of laundry, but I still have to put it all away and mate the socks. I also cleaned the dining room so we can get the tree up this weekend. I had to go grocery shopping yesterday but today I want to go shopping. I don't know what I want to shop for, but I want to get out of the house tonight. I will have to take Curtis out for supper so he will agree to go shopping too. I really want to go to some furniture stores so I can look for a couch. I want to get one before Christmas. I hope he goes along with it.

Next week I will have to get busy on my list. Christmas is coming fast. I am excited about it. I am like a little kid when I see Christmas decorations. I love to see the excitement in Zane's face when he talks about Christmas things. I can't wait till he sees his presents on Christmas and knows that Santa came. I just hope he keeps being good so Santa can come.

Well, Zane will be home soon so I better get prepared.
