Not Ready For Work

I don't want to go to work tomorrow. I have been off for 11 days and I am use to sleeping in. It is going to be hard to get up before 4 am. Hopefully it will not be busy tomorrow and I can leave early. I have decided if I can leave early this weekend I am, and starting next year I will not leave early (unless I have no friends there to stay with).
Today we went shopping and got a new microwave. Our old one was the one Curtis used in collage and it was not working very good. It's surprising it is working at all being so old. After we got home we played catch with a football until the sprinkles turned into heavy rain. We are getting ready to watch a movie before I have to go to bed. Hopefully I can sleep well tonight and have a good day at work tomorrow.

Our Christmas

Here are some picture from our house. We came home Christmas evening and Santa also came to our house when we were at my parents.

Curtis got me my favorite gift of all. He had brought a gift to my parents house for me to open there. It was the emerald ring I saw at the jewelry store that I said I loved. I figured if I got it,it would have been for my birthday. It fits good but if my hands are cold it gets a little loose and I am afraid I will lose it. I tried to take a picture of it but they all turn out blurry. I will try again some time.

I hope you all got what you wanted for Christmas. If I have some time later I might post some more pictures. Zane and I are going shopping today. I am also suppose to take all the decorations off the tree so Curtis can take it down. Curtis has a vacation day tomorrow so we might go do something with Zane. It will depend on how good he is today.

Christmas Pictures

Here are some more pictures from Christmas. My sister, Cari, and her family and my sister, Michelle, and her husband were also at my parents Christmas morning. Erin woke us all up at 6:30 AM! She was very excited to open presents. Santa had been there and ate the cookies and drank most of the hot cocoa. The deer had even ate some of the carrot.

Here is a picture I took while my family was opening presents Christmas afternoon. The living room was very crowded with everyone plus the gifts stuffed into it.

We all got some good stuff. My favorite present was a charm from Kylee that says AUNT with 2 hearts next to it. I put it on my charm bracelet as soon as I could.

Since I couldn't get the pictures to be in the order I wanted I will have to make another post.

Our Christmas Eve

We had a really good Christmas. The weekend didn't start out too good with Zane being sick on Saturday. I had the day off and we were going to go to my parents that afternoon but we ended up nursing a sick boy all day. Sunday morning when he got up he was feeling back to his old self. It was like he had never been sick. We went to my parents that morning and then to my uncle's for Christmas lunch. After lunch we all went back to my parents. I went out and rode 4 wheelers with all my nephews and nieces. My dad just got a new (to him) 4 wheeler so we had to try it out. We had a lot of fun, but it was really cold when we were going fast.
That night we all went to church. We were really early because my mom thought it started at 7 but it didn't start till 7:30. After church we went back to my parents and got things ready for Santa to come. We made a some cookies and a cup of hot cocoa for him and put a carrot outside for his reindeer. I will tell how Christmas day was later so this isn't a really long post. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve.

Here is my newest niece, Kylee. I got a pair of green fuzzy socks and it had a pair of baby socks with it so we could match.

This is my crazy uncle Charles. We had Christmas lunch at his house.

Zane got a pair of camo underwear from my aunt. Now he has every piece of clothing in camo.

Ready For Christmas

I am finally ready for Christmas. We went shopping today and I got the last thing I needed. I have most of my presents wrapped and will finish wrapping tonight. Zane is excited about Christmas. I told him he could open a gift early so I think we will open one tonight. I am excited about seeing my family, especially my new niece. We will see everyone except my sister from Florida. Santa is going to bring a few presents to my parents house since we will be there Christmas morning. I think my parents will enjoy having the kids there with all the excitement of Christmas morning. I might not update much this weekend. We are going to be busy. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Baby Name

My new niece got her name on Friday afternoon, Kylee Marie. My niece Taylor, who is 5, informed me that she named her. She picked out the first name. Kylee is also named after me. We have the same middle name. I guess my sister was going to name the baby after me even if it was a boy. This made me very happy and if I wasn't in public when I found out the name I might have cried. I have only seen one picture of her and it had all three of my nieces in it and I couldn't see Kylee very well to see if she looks like me. Taylor told me Kylee was as cute as she is so I am sure she is adorable.
Today I was going to relax and wrap some Christmas presents, but my mom called last night and she is coming to town to go shopping and asked me if I wanted to go with her. I do need to get a couple more things and I know she needs help picking out what to get some people so I decided I would go with her. Tonight we have a 4-H meeting and Christmas party. Tomorrow I am going to Sara's to make some Christmas candy and visit with her. Zane gets out of school early on Thursday and will be off till after the new year. I will be crazy by then. I hope Santa brings him some toys and games that we can play with and not be bored with nothing to do.
I couldn't sleep this morning after Curtis left so I finally got up around 6am. I decided I would update this and take a shower before I got Zane up for school. Hopefully we will not be shopping all day and I can come home and take a nap this afternoon if I need to.

Special deliveries

Here is a picture of what I have been doing all week. I put a few packages in the mail today with all of this in them. I bet you wish you lived out of state so you could get one, too.

My family also got a special delivery last night. My sister, Cari, had a baby girl. She is not named yet. We were all hoping for a boy so only boy names had been picked out. All I know is that she was born last night a little after 11pm and she weighed 9 lbs. I hope to get a picture and name soon. I am so excited. I will get to see her next week. I can't wait.

Busy as a Bee

I have been busy this week. Monday I took a half day of vacation. Curtis and I went shopping and I got a most of my shopping done. I plan on going tomorrow to finish up. I have been making some Christmas candy this week too. I have made peanut clusters, fudge, peanut butter cups, hot chocolate mix, peanut butter fudge, chocolate covered spoons, chocolate chip cookies and I have made the dough for ginger snaps. I was going to make some cinnamon candy but I didn't have everything I needed. I have a list of groceries to buy tomorrow. Now I need to get the packages ready and get them in the mail.
Yesterday we went and saw Santa. Zane read him his letter and was really excited to see him. We had his picture taken so when we get it I will try to post it.

Zane's Letter to Santa

After several tries I think I have finally figured out how to scan something and get it onto my blog. If I wouldn't have had help from Curtis, I would have figured it out a lot faster. I actually knew more about it than he did. I finally just told him to get away and let me do it on my own.
Here is the letter Zane wrote to Santa. He did it all by himself by flashlight light because the lights were already turned off for the night and I didn't want him to turn them on and blind me. I am such a mean mom. Remember he is only 8 and this is the first letter he has ever wrote.


When we went to see Santa last week he wasn't there. He had the week off and I didn't know about it. We are going to go some time this week so Zane can give him his letter.
Today I didn't have to work so we went to see Santa Clause 3. After that we went to a Best Buy and Lowe's but we didn't get anything. Curtis just wanted to look. I wanted to "look" at Target but he wouldn't let me. He is such a scrooge.
I still have a little Christmas shopping to do. I know what I want to get everyone except my mom. I can't think of anything to get her.
I have to work tomorrow and then this week I have to finish some of my baking so I can get some packages in the mail by Friday.

Update

Well, I survived working 6 days in a row. I was very tired by Monday. Tuesday I wanted to lay in bed all day, but I had to go do some shopping. I was gone from 10-3. Yesterday I didn't do much. I did shave my legs which took a while since it had been a month since the last time I shaved them. Today I plan on starting my holiday baking.
Here are some update about past posts. Curtis got the car fixed last Tuesday and we have not had any more problems with it. Curtis also had to work overtime on Saturday so Zane stayed at my parents. I think he did a good job entertaining them.
This evening we are going to see Santa. Zane wrote him a letter last night with a list of thing he wants for Christmas. I am going to see if I can figure out our scanner and post it here. I don't know of it will work or not because he wrote it in pencil.
