It's Snowing!

It has been really cold this week and it is suppose to stay cold for a while. I am glad it is snowing. I hate cold weather without snow.
Again nothing exciting has happened. One of the people I am training at work quit and the other one is doing good. I should get new trainees on Sunday.
Tomorrow there is an open house at Zane's school that we have to go to. Saturday we have a 4-H carnival to go to. I also have to make some kind if baked goods to take to it. I don't know what I'll make yet. I'm not a very good cook and I don't want to scare anyone.
It is cold in our house. I am sitting in my computer chair with my feet up on the arm of the couch and I have the big comforter from our bed wrapped around me. My hands and feet are still cold. I think I will go back to bed in a little bit and watch a movie.

Non Productive

I have done nothing all week. I have literally sat in front of the computer or TV most of my awake hours. The other things I have done are taken showers, fixed supper and I did go to the new Wal-Mart today but I wasn't there very long. Thankfully I have something to do tomorrow. Curtis has the day off and we are meeting Sara and her family for lunch. I am looking forward to it a lot. I miss her since I don't work with her anymore.
I am looking forward to another super fun weekend at work. Maybe something exciting will happen there. I am training new hires right now. The 2 I have now are doing really good and give me no reason to make fun of them, unlike the ones I had the week before. I will let you know if anything happens, but I don't think it will.
On another note--I am keeping up with my resolution to shave my legs every week. The laundry is another story.

I Survived

I survived Saturday night by myself. My boys had a lot of fun at the monster truck thing, but it was really loud so they came home before it was over.
I haven't done much this week. It is cold in our house so I have been staying in the living room where it is the warmest. I did have to get dressed today to go to the grocery store because we needed milk. As soon as I got home I changed back into my sweats and took off my bra. I am not really in a depressed mood, but I don't feel like doing anything. I think I will have to go shopping tomorrow or talk Curtis into going Friday. He is taking another vacation day. He is also taking off next Friday. He has vacation he had to use by the end of the month.
Something kinda exciting did happen this week. We got a letter from the Kansas IRS saying we messed up last year taxes. We figured out what the problem was. We put a dollar figure on the wrong line ( the one above where it needed to go). If we didn't realize what we did wrong we would have owed the state more money. The person I talked to about the problem was very nice and explained everything I needed to know in words that I understood. Curtis wasn't that upset about it either. He just blamed me since I filled out the form. I blame him because he double checked it.

All Alone

Curtis and Zane are at the monster truck thing and I am all alone. I keep hearing noises. I am scared. I am telling myself it is the wind, but it doesn't sound like the wind. I think I will go to bed and cover up with my big blanket. If it is over my head nothing can get me. It is like a bullet proof shield to keep the scary stuff out. I guess if I don't show up at work tomorrow the blanket didn't work.

Ice and Snow

It is starting to feel like winter here. Yesterday we sat a record high and today it was in the 20's. It has snowed a little and sleeted some. It is suppose to ice and snow this weekend. I am not looking forward to driving to work in it. I hope the roads are not slick so I can make it on time and safely.
I am getting ready to go to bed. I know probably not fall asleep until after 10 and I will be tired all day tomorrow. At least I have tomorrow evening to myself since Zane and Curtis are going to the monster truck thing. If it snows more than a dusting I will take some pictures and post them later.

No Life

I have no life. Nothing exciting has happened this week. I went shopping yesterday and spent $90 at Wal-Mart and only one thing I bought was over $5. Today I have done a little laundry. I am getting ready to go take a shower. I have already scared my sister and her daughter when they stopped by for a few minutes. I hadn't even brushed my hair or teeth yet. I guess they will think twice about coming by without notice. My niece, Sara, had a Dr. appointment for her knee. She has to have surgery on the 23rd and can't play sports for 6-12 months.
Curtis has a vacation day tomorrow. I don't know if we will do anything exciting. It looks like the weather might get bad this weekend. They are calling for freezing rain and snow. I hope it is not slick when I go to work. I guess I will have to get up earlier than I usually do so I can leave a few minutes early.
Last week Zane saw a commercial for the Monster Truck thing that is at the Expo Center this weekend, so I suggested to Curtis that they go and bond as father and son. Curtis got the tickets this week and Zane is very excited. They asked me to go with them, but unfortunately I have to work the next day and it doesn't start till 8pm. I am sure they will have fun with out me. I hope the weather stays good for them.

Cold

All my Lysol spraying didn't work. I ended up getting a cold. It isn't too bad but at times I feel like crap, so I haven't done much today. I survived work last weekend. I was glad to have Sara back, but I lost another friend. He is going to work the week day shift. We already miss him.
There really isn't much going on in my life right now. Hopefully something be will worth posting about as the week goes on.

I Did It

I shaved my legs last night. The last time I shaved was December 6. It took 2 razors and almost a half hour but I got it done. After I drained the tub it looked like a small animal had been shaved. Now I have till next Thursday to shave again to keep up with my resolution.
Curtis is getting off work at 11 today. He is still not feeling very good. He has a bad cold and acts like he is dying. I think he thinks he is going to get lucky this afternoon, but I don't want to get sick so I am not going to let him touch me. Maybe I will take him out for a big lunch and when we get home he will fall asleep and not give me his sick germs. I am afraid I will get sick and have to miss work and I want to save all my vacation days for better things, like vacation. I sprayed Lysol on all the door knobs, light switches, and sprayable surfaces last night. It was the original scent Lysol and it smelled like an old mans aftershave. Next time I buy Lysol I will buy a scented kind. It can't be any worse than the old man smell. I can still smell it today.
I am not looking forward to working this weekend, but at least my friend, Sara, will be back. I am looking forward t that.

Cleaning

So, I cleaned the bathroom today. I started by taking down the shower curtain and the circle things that hold it up and then I threw them away. I bought new ones to put up after I got the room clean. I sprayed the shower walls and tub with scrubbing bubbles and let it soak while I ate breakfast. Around noon I decided to finish. I scrubbed and got all the soap scum off the tub and it was sparkling. I went to hang up the new shower curtain and I couldn't find it. Curtis emptied the sack it was in and I don't know where he put it. You think he would have put it in the bathroom, but I have looked everywhere. It isn't in the bathroom, laundry room, kitchen or dining room. I am wondering if I'll ever find it. I can't even take a bath because the thing that switches the water from shower to bath is broken and it is stuck on shower. I would make a mess if I filled the tub without the shower curtain up. Hopefully he will know where it is so I can shave my legs tonight.
My sister called this morning and said my niece hurt her leg in basketball practice yesterday and she probably will not play tonight so I am not going. Curtis still didn't feel good this morning so he will probably go strait to bed when he gets home. I am going to watch Thursday night TV, even if I have to take a TV into the bathroom.

Happy New Year

I actually stayed up to bring in the new year. It was hard since I got up before 4 am and worked for 10 hours, but I did it. Curtis, Zane and I stayed home and played board games and ate junk food. At midnight we went outside and did the one fire work we had and watched the neighbors fire works. We all slept in the next day and then we went out for lunch and got groceries.
Yesterday Zane and I didn't do much. We stayed in our pj's all day. Today we went to Chuck E. Cheese and wasted the afternoon. Zane had a lot of fun, but now he is bored again. Curtis is already in bed because he isn't feeling good. I hope he isn't getting sick, he whines a lot when he is.
Zane starts back to school tomorrow. I will be here all alone (unless Curtis is sick) and it will be very quiet. I think I will clean the bathroom and take a bubble bath. I might even shave my legs. I plan on going to watch my niece, Sara, play basketball in the evening. Friday, Curtis is taking off work early. I don't know if we will do anything or not.

I have made a couple new year resolutions I thought I would share with you.
  • I will shave my legs at least once a week during the winter months.
  • I will put the laundry away after I get it folded instead of stacking it on the table or dryer.
