I will do more of this later. I thought it was kinda fun. It is 74 today. I have washed some laundry and hung it outside. I would have done more but I ran out of soap. I was also going to go get Zanes bike but Curtis has the truck and I don't think I can get it in the car.
Tomorrow I have to go shopping and do the regular mom/house wife things I do every week. Don't forget that the new season of The Amazing Race starts tonight. I am so excited! It is one of my favorite shows.

Weekend Update

I thought I would update this while I had some time. I will start where I left off.
Thursday we had our first volleyball game. We played two teams, 3 games each. We lost every game but had a lot of fun. It was our first time playing together and I think we got better every game. We only lost the last game by 2 points and we were ahead for a while.
Friday I didn't do a lot. We went to Wal-Mart to get Zane a new pillow and ended up putting a bike on lay away for him. He is so spoiled. He even got a helmet that is camouflaged. That night I started to get sore from volleyball, and as always I dreaded going to work the next day.
Saturday I worked and was very sore . It hurt to climb up and down the stairs, and I was working upstairs and the break room is downstairs. I volunteered to work overtime and ended up getting a hour so I was very tired when I got home.
Sunday I was feeling better. My legs still hurt a little but I wasn't saying ouch every time I used the stairs. I also got to leave work a little early so it made the day even better. I did stay up late so I could watch Gray's Anatomy. I tried to go to sleep but it was too good.
Today was another day of work. I was pretty tired in the morning, but I woke up more as the day went on. I am glad I have good friends at work that I can talk to, or work would really suck. I look forward to going to work every weekend so I can see them. We always have fun singing along with the radio and making fun of people we don't like (I know that is mean but it is fun). We also got done early today so I left a hour early and now I am updating this.
It is so nice outside. It is suppose to be nice the next couple of days so I am looking forward to that. I am thinking of going to get Zanes bike so he can start enjoying it. I am going to try to post everyday this week but you know how I am.

Ready to Play

We have our first volleyball game tonight. I am getting nervous. It has been forever since I played. I hope I get time to practice a little before the game. I don't even know if I can serve it over the net. I haven't done much all day. I needed to conserve my energy. I am planning on making something for supper so Curtis and Zane don't starve tonight. I don't know if I will eat before I go or not. I guess I better eat something or I will be starving when we are playing.
I will let you know how tonight goes.

Couch pictures

I decided I better update this before the week is over. I am so tired from work this weekend. I had a good time at work but we were busy. I got to leave a little early Sunday but had mandatory overtime yesterday. Last night we had a 4-H meeting so by the time we got home from it and ready for bed I was having trouble staying awake. I think I slept all night without moving. I haven't done much yet today. I have started the laundry and after Zane went to school I got on the computer to do some stuff but I fell asleep in the computer chair. The dryer buzzer woke me up. I have a lot to do today. I came home after working all weekend to a sink and counter full of dirty dishes and lots of laundry. I'm sure all the dishes have nothing to do with the fact that I left some in the sink last week hoping that Curtis would do them when I was at work.
Here are some pictures of the couch. They are not the best but the color is a really dark brown.

This is the red arm cover with the pillow turned so the solid brown is showing.

This is the red arm cover with the pillow so the colored side can be seen.

This is the off white arm cover with the colored side of the pillow.

Which one do you like best? Of course I like the red, but I don't know if it makes it too dark. Maybe I will use both (not at the same time). I better go get busy so I might be able to take a nap this afternoon.

Going Crazy

There is no school today or Monday. Zane and I went shopping this afternoon and now he is driving me crazy. He might not survive until Curtis gets home. It is too cold to send him outside and he has too much energy to stay inside.
I didn't do much this week. I'm trying to figure out how a family of three can produce 6 loads of laundry in 1 weekend. I'm not sure what my boys do when I am not here. I didn't feel like doing anything all week. I didn't update this or e-mail anyone. Yesterday Zanes school had a sock hop that we had to go to. They had been practicing different dances at school. They had a hoola hoop contest and Zane won out of his class. We were pretty proud. I did miss the only volleyball practice we will have before out first game next week. I guess I will be the worst player. It has been 13 years since I last played. I don't even know if I can serve the ball over the net. I hope my team isn't too disappointed in me.
We got our new couch last weekend. It is almost too big for our living room. I was going to take a picture of it but the camera batteries are dead and I can't find new ones. I will have to go look harder for some. I need your opinion on what color of arm cover I should use. I got dark red and off white and I don't know what one I like most and I can't trust Curtis with it. I just realized I would be rich if I had a nickel every time I have told Zane or the cat to get off the couch. He is not suppose to eat or drink on it, put his feet on it, jump on it or put his toys on it. We are trying to keep it looking new for as long as we can and it might be hard with Zane and the cat.
I think we are going to go to the lawn and garden show tonight. It depends on what kind of mood Curtis is in when he gets home. I don't want to go to work tomorrow, but I guess I have to. I hope we are not too busy.
I am going to go tie up Zane.

Sick Baby

What a week. I had a busy weekend, but I haven't done anything this week. Saturday I worked till 4:30 then went home as fast as I could to get ready for the 4-H carnival. I changed my clothes, finished packing, loaded the truck and headed out. The carnival was fun. I won a cake at the cake walk, but it didn't taste very good so I left it at my parents. Sunday we had our Chinese dinner. All the girls from my family went early to help cook it all. We had a lot of food and most of it was really good. We played cards all afternoon and didn't get home till about 9 Sunday night.
Monday I had to work all day. I need to thank the people who listened to me bitch about Curtis at work. I know I was in a bad mood, but he really pissed me off, but I'm over it now (mostly).
When I got home from work Curtis said that our couch was ready to be picked up and we needed to get it within 10 days.
Tuesday, before Curtis went to work, he told me he was going to take 1/2 of the day off so we could go get the couch. I was half asleep, but I told him I couldn't because it was my day to do nothing. He just laughed and said we had to do it because it was going to get too cold to do it later in the week. So, after I got Zane to school, instead of doing nothing I had to get dressed and put on some make-up. I did one load of laundry and was all ready to go by 11, when he would get off. I sat and waited. And waited and waited. I waited all afternoon for him to come home and he never did. He didn't get to take off early and I guess he also broke both his arms and couldn't call home to tell me. When he did get home he was sick. He didn't go to work yesterday or today. He has been driving me crazy. He whines more than me. He kept me awake all Tuesday night with his moaning, shivering, heavy breathing, and whining. I know he was sick. He had a fever of 103. He looked sick. But he acted like he was on fire, laying in a snow bank(shivering) having his head split open with an ax. I hope he goes back to work tomorrow. I also hope Zane doesn't get it, but if he does I hope it is on the weekend so Curtis has to take care of him.
Today I have done more laundry and washed the dishes. Tonight there is an open house at Zane's school so we have to go to that. I still don't know when we will get the couch. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

This is my cousin's baby, Skyler. He is my favorite 2nd cousin. He has orange hair and is always happy. He is 13 months old.
This is my favorite niece named Sara and I do have 2. I always try to get a picture of her, but she always covers her face so I have to sneak them. She is sitting by Curtis. This is some of the food that we had. You can also see the piles of dirty dishes in the background.

Don't faint

Can you believe it? I have updated this 4 days in a row.
Yesterday afternoon I attempted to make a pie crust. How hard could it be? It's just flour, shortening and water. Well, I managed to make a big, heavy ball that was first too dry then too wet and tasted like flour and water mixed together. I finally gave up after adding a little more water then a little more flour then water then flour. I went to Dillons last night and bought 2 frozen pie crusts.
This morning I made 2 pecan pies that look eatable. I also made a new recipe called no bake peanut butter bars. It looked good and it was easy to make. I did the dishes several times this morning and sat down to eat lunch around 1. I was playing around on the computer and eating when Crutis came home. He took off early so he could fix the car. He changed the oxygen sensor and did something to the muffler and now he is doing something to the brakes because they sound funny. Hopefully he will get done soon so we can be alone before Zane gets home from school.
Tonight we are going to watch my nephew, Jon, play basketball. I haven't been to one of his games yet so I thought I better go. This one is also close to me, it's in Perry. Tomorrow Zane and I are going to do some shopping in the afternoon and we might take Curtis out for supper. I also need to pack for this weekend because I will not have time to do it after work Saturday. I will let you know how the weekend went.

A bunch of stuff

I still have this stupid cold. Monday I had a really bad sinus headache so when we went to the store I got medicine for that. Then, yesterday, I didn't have a headache at all but I was coughing all day. I didn't get medicine for that! I was coughing a lot last night and every time I did I felt like I was going to pee my pants. I finally found some nasty tasting cough syrup and took it then went to bed at 8:30. Today I am still coughing a little but I don't want to take that gross medicine. Yesterday I also took some day time cold medicine and it kept me up all night. I would be asleep then wake up and be hot so I would throw off the covers and fall back asleep only to wake up 10 minutes later freezing. This went on all night. I think I am having hot flashes at night. I have been waking up drenched with sweat--maybe I am going through menopause.
I have other symptoms too-lack of period and mood swings.
Anyways, I made cupcakes yesterday but I don't think they will last very long with Zane around. I also made a good supper of pork chops, potatoes and gravy, green beans and dessert. Tomorrow I need to make something for the 4-H Carnival on Saturday. I think I am going to make a pecan pie. I took off Sunday so we are going to spend the night at my parents. Sunday we are going to have a big Chinese dinner with my moms side of the family. We are going to go to the community building and make a lot of different dishes. I am suppose to bring something for dessert and some non Chinese food for Zane in case he doesn't like what we cook. I think I am going to make an extra pie to take and I don't know what else to bring.
Zane gets out of school early on Friday so we are going to go get Valentines for school. He got in trouble yesterday and Monday at school so we can't so something that is too fun. His punishment was no Boys and Girls Club or computer for a week but since he got in trouble again yesterday it is now for 2 weeks. Curtis doesn't realize he just punished himself too because the only alone time we have is the 45 minutes between when he gets home from work and we have to get Zane from B&G club. I guess no sex for him for a while.
I'm trying to decide if I want to make a pie crust or just buy one. I think I will buy one since it will come in an aluminum pie plate and I don't have any. Maybe I will get really crazy and make something to take to work Saturday.
I guess I better go get dressed and get busy with the never ending pile of laundry.
