Rainy Day

Last night we went and played sand volleyball. It was a lot harder than playing in the gym, but it was fun. I hurt when we got home and I thought for sure I would be too sore to move today, but I'm not sore at all. It will probably hit tonight and I will not be able to move at work tomorrow. Curtis played too and said he had fun. We decided if they need us to play this summer we would. I could use the exercise.
It has been raining since before I got up this morning. I heard the cat freaking out because she heard it thundering 100 miles away. I was a little pissed that she got me up before the alarm went off. I had to run some errands and go shopping today and it rained really hard every time I had to walk to and from the car. I went to get some shoes for work but they didn't have the pair I wanted in my size so I decided to wait till next week.
My sister just called and the track meet has been canceled. I don't think I would have gone in the rain anyway. I did tell Zane I would pick him up from school so he could go with me so I still have to go out in the rain to get him. Maybe I'll just call the school and tell him he can go to B&G Club if he wants or he can ride the bus home.
I am making taco salad for supper. I have to put it together sometime this afternoon. I also have to fine my black sweats. I had them on last week and took them off when I took a shower, and they disappeared. I looked all over for them that night and I couldn't find them anywhere. I think the same person that stole my belt once took them too. I am freezing without them. My jeans got soaking wet since the rain decided to come at me sideways and I really wanted to come home and put on my warm fuzzy sweats. Where are they?

Sick of Home

I have not left the house since I got home Monday evening. I guess I am saving on gas but I am ready to get out of here. Tonight we are going to Sonic to play sand volleyball. Some of the people who played indoor volleyball are going to play sand volleyball this summer and want to see if they are going to like it so I said I would play if they needed me. Curtis even said he would play if we need him. We are going to go early and eat first. Zane is excited because he gets to play at the playground when we play volleyball.
Tomorrow I have a busy day. I need to go do some shopping. I also need to get a pair of shoes for work. My old ones are killing my feet. My nephew, Jon, has a track meet at Silver Lake so I am going to go to it. He is running a relay at 4:30 and the 2 mile at 7:30. He is doing really good for a freshman. He already has enough points to letter and he has only had 4 meets. I think I will just stay for his relay and then come home with 2 of my nieces so my sister doesn't have to watch them at the track meet. Zane will enjoy being able to play with them for a while.

Boring Life

I haven't updated for a while because nothing ever happens to me. I signed up for overtime for every night this week, but didn't get any. I didn't really want to work the night shift but the extra money would have been nice to have.
I have been looking online for vacation stuff this week. We are going to go to Lebanon, Mo. to go canoeing. My sister, Cari, her husband and 2 girls are going and my mom and dad. My brother and his girlfriend might go too. I was in charge of looking for a hotel for us. I sent the info to them last night and my sister is going to make the reservations. I think it will be a lot of fun.
Zane is wanting to get on the computer to play a game so I better let him before it gets too late. He has been good at school this week so he can play his gameboy and computer. I hope he keeps being good.

Sick

I am not feeling very good today. I had a headache last night when I went to bed. When Curtis went to work my head was still hurting. He had the TV on and the light from it seemed so bright. When I got up to get Zane ready for school I took some migraine medicine. I felt so bad I could hardly get his breakfast ready and make his lunch for school. I laid down for a few minutes before the bus came and when I got up to go outside I thought I was going to throw up. Then the bus was late so I had to stand outside for what seemed like forever. As soon as the bus picked him up I got back in bed and slept until 12:45. I felt much better when I got up, but I still have a little headache. I don't think I will be doing very much the rest of the day.
Last night we had our last volleyball games. We won 2 against the first team but lost all 3 against the next team. It was still a lot of fun. I don't know what I will do now on Thursday night. Maybe I can catch the reruns of the shows I've missed.
Tomorrow starts another fun weekend at work. I can't wait.

Easter Pictures

I decided I better put some pictures from Easter on here. Since I wasn't able to go to my families get together Curtis documented it with pictures.

These are two of my nieces, Erin and Taylor. This is right after they got home from church. Curtis knew I wanted to see them so he took a picture before they changed into play clothes.

This is the kids and some adults during the big egg hunt at my parents. It also has their garden. I wish mine was that big.

This is back at our house. Zane was hunting the eggs that the Easter bunny hid. I kept trying to take a picture and every time I did Zane would look down or turn his head so I finally made him stop and look at me so I could get a good one. It shows his hair cut really good.

I thought this picture looked funny after I took it. Zane was looking for an egg that Curtis and I had found but he couldn't. As I took the picture Curtis put his hand up and it looks like he is scratching his head like he is confused. I don't know why they were looking there for the egg anyway because it was over by where I was standing.

I haven't done anything exciting yet this week. We took down Zanes Little Tikes play thing so we could give it to my friend Sara's daughter Natalie. I also got the turtle sand box and a little car that you move with your feet ready to go. We are going to take it to them tonight. Our back yard looks really empty now.

I am going to go through some cook books today to get some ideas for suppers. It seems like I always make the same things and it is getting old. I also need to decide what to make for supper tonight. Any ideas?

Easter

Happy Easter!
I got off work early today. When I got home the Easter Bunny hadn't been here yet. I set out the eggs so he could hide them and came inside to relax. I hope he comes soon. Curtis and Zane are at my parents and should be home in a while.
We had a good supper with my family last night. It was good to see my sister, Cari, and her family. I hadn't seen them since Christmas. We have decided to take a big family vacation this year. We are going canoeing in Missouri. We made a few decisions about when and where to go, but still have a lot of planning to do.
I am going to try to take a little nap before my boys get home. Tomorrow is another day of work and believe it or not, I don't want to go.

Busy Day

Today there was no school. I slept in a little then got up and got Zane fed and dressed. We went and deposited some money in our savings accounts then I decided to take Zane to Chuck E. Cheese. I had some coupons for free tokens that expired soon and I wanted to use them. Also Zane didn't get in trouble too much this week. I don't know what happens when kids enter Chuck E Cheese but they can no longer walk, they only run, hop, skip, prance or gallop. We were there for a couple hours then went to get Zanes hair cut. On the way there the heat light came on in the car. When we got there they said it would only be a few minutes but it ended up being almost a hour. Zane now looks like a boy again. I will put a picture on later.
When Curtis got home I told him about the car and he went out to see of he could figure out what was wrong. We went for a little drive and he decided it was the fan that cools the engine or something like that. We went back home and got the truck and went to get the part we needed. After that we went to Ace Hardware and got a deck box I had been wanting. Since it was the grand opening they had a petting zoo and camel rides. We went in the petting zoo and HAD to buy a little dixie cup of food for $1. Zane is so spoiled. Then we came home and Curtis fixed the car and I put together the deck box. Since it is so hot today I think we will have some icecream now.
Tomorrow after I get off work we are going to go eat supper with my family since I have to work on Easter. We are going to some restaurant that my brother ate at and liked, but I am not for sure where it is. I guess I will find it. I know the general area it is in.
Also, I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Or Sunday.

Eggs

We dyed our Easter eggs yesterday. Zane did about 5 and he was said he was done. It was still light outside so he needed to go play till it got dark. I was dying a few when he came running in and said there was a hot air balloon outside. It was right over our driveway so I went and got the camera.
It looked a lot closer in person. I don't know why it looks so far away. We could see the people in it.
Here is Zane writing on an egg before he dyes it. I know the date is wrong. It is always off a few days and I forget to fix it.
He are the finished eggs. After it got dark Zane came back and we dyed the rest. Zane is going to take some to Winchester on Sunday to use in the egg hunt there and the rest he will leave here for the Easter Bunny to hide.

There is no school tomorrow so I will be crazy by Saturday. I don't know what we will do. We were going to go to Chuck E. Cheese but Zane got in trouble again at school. I might make him help me clean. That is good punishment. I have a volleyball game tonight and after that I have to go do a little shopping. Zane needs some shorts badly. He has 3 pair that fit him and they are all camo. It looks like he is wearing the same pair every day. I guess the Easter Bunny will bring him some.

Psycho Fan

Nothing too exciting is going on here. I am boiling eggs do we can dye them tonight. I really don't have much to say. I will probably take some pictures of Zane and Curits dying eggs tonight so I will post them later.
I guess the most exciting thing that has happened since I last posted is seeing Steve Baylon at Dillons. For those of you who are not from here he is a weather guy on a local TV station. I thought about acting like a crazy fan and run up to him screaming that I was so excited and needed his autograph on my boobs, but his eyebrows scare me because they are a big, dark unabrow, so I didn't.

We Won

Well, we won all three games against the first team and lost all three against the other team. I thought we played pretty good against both teams. We only have a few more games left before we are done. I think I will miss it.
My allergies are still acting up. They got a little better yesterday and then my eyes started bothering me at volleyball. I took some allergy medicine yesterday and I was up all night. I think I woke up every hour. I was finally sleeping good when it was time to get up. I am not going to take anything today so I will be able to sleep tonight.
Zane gets out of school early today. I have to go run some errands after he gets home. I think we will go see Ice Age 2 sometime today. If Curtis can come home early we will go to the early show, if not we will go tonight. We need to use some movie passes we have.
I have to finish the never ending laundry pile and prepare for Zane to get home.

Allergies

My allergies are really bad today. I have a runny nose, itchy watery eyes and I am coughing a lot. I have a headache from coughing so much. I looked at the pollen count and Oak, Birch and Cottonwood are really high today. Maybe the rain we are suppose to get will help get the pollen count down. I am going to go lay down for a while and see if that helps me feel better. I hate trees when they bloom!

Flowers

I thought I would post some pictures of my tulips. I have several plants but only had 5 buds this year. The nice weather we had earlier made them grow but then it got really cold and most of them got damaged. Then we had the hail storm that broke off one of my buds. I brought it inside and put it in a vase and it bloomed so that made me a little happier.

Zane got his first phone call tonight. It was one of his friends from school. It was a little weird for me. He is too little to start talking on the phone to his friends. Soon he will be going to sleep overs and then leaving for college. Then what will I do?
Zane has almost got the bike riding down. He can't start by himself or stop very well. He can't reach the breaks so he just jumps off. I guess that will work until he hurts himself. I hope he can do it all by himself soon. It is killing me to run with him and keep him steady.
They are calling for more storms tomorrow. I hope that are not severe. I can't handle that stress. I have two volleyball games tomorrow. They are the early games so Curtis and Zane are going to go watch. I hope I do good. I had a dream this week that there were bleachers full of people watching us and the other team had cheer leaders. I will let you know how it goes.

Weekend Update

Here is the long weekend update. Since the pictures uploaded in the opposite order I wanted, I have to start with today and work backwards. When I was at work this afternoon a thunderstorm moved through our neighborhood. Curtis said the warning came right before it hit and it was calling for hail up to 1 inch so he ran out and moved the truck under the awning and it hit before he got back into the house. He made it inside without getting too beat up. After it was over he took these pictures.

This is at the back of our house. The hail covered our garden and yard and our neighbors driveway.
This was taken from our front porch. The trees kept a lot of it off our yard but the road was white.

Yesterday I took a vacation day. We were out late Friday night and it was going to be such a nice day. I decided I would stay home and enjoy the weather and spend the day with my boys. We planted onions and potatoes in our garden. Curtis fixed our motion light because it was staying on all the time. I tried to teach Zane to ride his bike. We made a little progress but I got tired of bending over to hang on the back of the seat while running along with him.

For the person who always asks where the pictures of me are, here you go. Zane took this picture of me Saturday afternoon. It was hot so I put my hair up and he thought it looked funny.

Friday night we went to my cousins wedding. We had a good time. I had a few drinks but didn't even get buzzed. I got a new pink shirt to wear. This is the only light pink shirt I own. I think I will get some more pink clothes. I like looking like a girl.

This is a picture of Curtis and I at the reception.

Here is my beautiful family. Zane didn't want to get his picture taken but we made him anyway. We are such mean parents. After this picture Zane got his note pad and pen and walked around looking at stuff and wrote everything down. When he wasn't using it he put it in his shirt pocket. Between that and the bow tie he looked like a nerd, but I cute nerd. I wish I had gotten a picture.

It is getting close to my bed time so I better go get ready for work tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
