Overtime, Overtime, Overtime

I was forced to work mandatory overtime again today. Curtis was going to take a 1/2 day of vacation again so he could get Zane on the bus, but school was cancelled because of the ice so he ended up taking all day off.
I have to work overtime again tomorrow so he has to take another 1/2 day. It looks like he might be forced in this weekend so I am going to call my parents to see if they can watch Zane. If they can't Curtis will have to take more vacation days. It is a good thing he had so many left.
I probably will not update for awhile since I have to work all weekend. I can't believe I will have to work 6 days in a row. I am use to only working 3 days a week. I will be exhausted by Monday.
I do want to thank Gail for bringing me some mint M&M's today. It made my day a lot better. You're the coolest!

I'm Still Here

I guess it is time for an update. The most exciting thing that has happened since my last post is Thanksgiving. We left last Tuesday and went to my in-laws. We spent the night there and most of the next day. Wednesday evening we went to my sisters house and stayed the night. Thanksgiving we had lunch at my sisters with my family. Around 4 in the afternoon we went back to the in-laws to see the family that was there. We stayed there a couple hours and then went back to my sisters for the night. I got up at 4:30 am Friday morning to go shopping with my sisters and mom. Later that afternoon we went back to the in-laws and we came home Saturday.
I worked Sunday and Monday and I just found out I have to work mandatory overtime tomorrow. I can't f-ing wait. I guess Curtis will have to take 1/2 a vacation day because I don't have any left and he has a lot. Someone has to be here to get Zane off to school.
Yesterday Curtis was driving the car and the battery light came on. He said the alternator is going out. He was going to try to get off early today so he could fix it but he never came home so guess he didn't get to. Maybe he will just take off all day tomorrow so he can fix it. I am making him drive it until it is fixed. I have had the car die on me too many time already.
When I get some more time I will post some pictures from Thanksgiving.

Hunting Pictures

Here are some of the pictures I took over the weekend. Only one was taken when we were hunting. The rest were taken before we left and after we got back. As usual the date was wrong on our camera.

This is the one I took of Doc when we were hunting. We didn't see any birds at this spot, but Sara and I did find a lot of corn.

This is my dads cousin, Dave, and my dad (in the orange vest).

Here is my niece, Sara, me and Doc. You don't see him very often without his pipe.

This is my nephew, Tony, and Doc before we left to go hunting.

Here is Dave and his son, Will, cleaning one of the quail they shot.

This picture is for Sara. I cropped her out of the one from above. I told her I was going to do it so I could have a picture of just Doc and I.

I still don't know if Curtis has to work tomorrow. I hope he doesn't so I can enjoy the craft sale without having Zane there. They might not even let me go if I have to take him. I did make the no kids rule.

Last Weekend

I am finally getting around to updating this. We had a great weekend at my parents. We got there Friday evening. It snowed on us a little on the way there. My sister, Cari, and her family also got there that night. We all stayed up till after midnight talking. Saturday I got up at 6:30am so I could go out and see the hunters before they left. Later that morning I went shopping with my mom and Cari. Two of my other sisters were at my parents that afternoon. All the kids enjoyed playing outside and us girls made a few different soups for supper.
Saturday night my sister, Teri, and my niece, Sara, dyed some of my hair with kool-aid. I only dyed some of the hair underneath. I didn't know if it would work or what it would look like but it turned out good. After we get our Christmas pictures taken I want to do some more.
Sunday we had a big dinner with my dads side of the family. After that I went hunting with the guys. Sara also went so I wasn't the only girl. We had a lot of fun. Sara and I both fell in a creek when we were trying to cross it. She got in the water and I got in the mud. I spent yesterday afternoon washing the clothes I had on. I had to pre-wash them twice to get all the mud out. Sunday evening we had to come home. I worked Monday and Tuesday on a trade day. Wednesday I didn't do much so today I have a lot of laundry to do. I have a vacation day on Saturday or I would have been forced to work overtime tomorrow. A lot of people were forced in. I am hoping Curtis doesn't get forced in this weekend. Saturday I am going to a craft sale with my mom and two sisters. We made a rule of no kids but I guess if Curtis has to work I might have to take Zane with us.
I will get some pictures posted soon.

Busy

This has been a long week. I have been busy getting ready for this weekend. I have baked more cookies, done 6 loads of laundry, gone shopping for groceries and for fun, cleaned the house and packed the car full of crap to take to my parents house.
Today Zane and I went to see my friend, Sara, then we went to the mall. We ran into my sister, Teri and one of her kids so we ate lunch with them. I got a couple things to give to Curtis for Christmas and some camo socks for Zane.
We didn't get Christmas picture taken this week. Someone was asked to try on a few different shirts so I could see which ones fit and which one I liked best, but I guess it was too difficult to do because he never did it. I decided I was stressed out enough this week and I will get it done next week. If we have time I might have someone take some pictures of us at my parents and just order copies if any turn out.
We are leaving tonight when Curtis gets home. I am very excited about going. I haven't seen some of my family for a few months and our friends from North Carolina are going to be there. I'm sure I will take a lot of pictures so I will post some when I have time next week. Don't miss me too much at work this weekend. I will be there Monday.

Weekend Update

I am so tired. It was a long weekend at work. We had to work a hour of overtime on Saturday. Sunday I got to leave a little early and Monday I worked my 12 hours. I was glad I got to sleep in some on Tuesday. Working the trade day wasn't that bad. I only worked a few minutes in my regular department and then I got to go to the miscellaneous department. It was much easier work. I was hoping I would get to leave at 4:30 but I had to stay till 6pm. Last night I felt like I did when I first started working there. I hurt all over. My hand, wrists, legs, ankles, feet and back were so sore. I have decided to take it easy today. I was going to go shopping but I decided to wait till tomorrow.
I am going to bake some cookies today and do all the laundry I can. Tomorrow evening I hope to get our Christmas pictures taken. I don't know if I will be able to or not. I have a HUGE zit on my face so I might wait and have them taken next week. I plan on coloring some of my hair with kool-aid this weekend so I don't know if I want to wait on pictures. Hopefully if I wait the colored hair will not look too bad. I only plan on coloring some of the underneath part so you can only see it if I pull my hair up.
I will try to update some more this week. There is no school Friday so I know Zane and I will have to do something fun that day.

No Baking

I was going to make some more cookies today but I was out of brown sugar. I looked everywhere for some but only found 4 bags of powdered sugar. So I decided to make someone happy and put some of the powered sugar to use. I mixed up some buck eyes (peanut butter balls). I will roll them into balls and dip them in chocolate next week. Then I will need to make a trip to a friends house and give her some so she will not hunt me down and hurt me.
Curtis had to work 2 hours of overtime every night but Tuesday this week. I guess it is some extra money for him, but is also means I have to get Zane from B&G club. Some days I just don't feel like getting dressed in clothes that I can be seem in public in, but every day this week I have had to get out of my comfortable sweats that are way too big and brush my hair so I don't embrace Zane. Everyone I work with should consider yourself lucky that I get up 10 minutes before I leave for work just so I can brush my teeth and hair and throw on some make up. It would be scary if I didn't.

Cookies

I have been busy baking this week. I have baked a batch of ginger snaps, chocolate with peanut butter chips, and chocolate chip cookies. I have also mixed up some other cookie dough to bake tomorrow.
Next weekend we are going to my parents. Our friends from North Carolina are going to be here to go hunting. We always make a lot of cookies for them to take with them. I have put most of what I have baked so far in the freezer. I know if they were left out they would be gone over the weekend.
Don't get use to me updating every day. If anything exciting happens I will update tomorrow. I have to work all weekend and I am also working Tuesday on a trade day so I can have off next Saturday. I will let you know how it goes.

Halloween Pictures

Here are the Halloween pictures I promised. We had a good time trick-or-treating. We walked around the neighborhood for about a hour. It was really cold out and I was glad when we were done. When we got home we turned on our porch light and had several trick-or-treaters. We let Zane hand out the candy and he liked that.

Tonight we are suppose to have a 4-H thing at Gary's Berries. It is going to be cold again so I am looking for hats and gloves for all of us. I know we have them I just don;t know where they are.
