Spring

Spring has arrived. My tulips are blooming and are so pretty. I wish I had planted more.

Also, with the arrival of spring comes spring cleaning. I have been cleaning a lot this week. I have to get ready for my birthday party. I only have 4 weeks left. This week I cleaned the bed room (at least all I am doing for now). I have at least put away all our clothes and made filled up some boxes for a garage sale. I also cleaned off the dinning room table. It had piles of clothes on it and even some stuff from Christmas time. With 4 weeks left I figured I could clean one room a week-the living room, dinning room, kitchen, and bathroom/laundry room. I know it will not take me a week on each room but I also want to clean the walls and carpets. I also want to rearrange the living and dinning room furniture and hang up some pictures and shelves for my snowmen.

Yesterday Zane and I took a walk ofter he got home from school. Well, I walked and he rode his scooter. We were gone about 45 minutes. We went a different way than we usually do and I found my dream house. I was tempted to take a picture of it but I didn't want to seem like a freak. It is a huge 2 story white house with a wrap around porch and a big yard. I only wish it was for sale, I could afford it and wasn't in the city.

I'll try to post again soon.

Been Sick

I guess it is time for an update. I was sick all last week. I woke up Sunday with a headache and it got worse as the day went on. I was nauseous and dizzy and couldn't wait to get off work. I went home and straight to bed. Monday I still had a headache when I got up for work so I called in and used a vacation day. I thought I was going to die Monday. Curtis made me take some migraine medicine even though I told him it would make me sicker since I hadn't ate anything. He did feel bad when I proved him right. Instead of just a killer headache I also had dry heaves and hurt all over after I took the meds.
Tuesday I was feeling a little better but still in bed a lot. Wednesday- Friday I improved a little every day, but still didn't feel back to normal. I finally broke down and went to the doctor Friday afternoon. He said I had a virus that was going around that lasted 7-10 days. He also said to stay home from work until Monday. By then I was feeling 90% better. I was very tired at work Monday. but the headache and nausea were gone. Thankfully Zane and Curtis have not gotten sick.
I will try to post some more later. I need to help Zane with his homework and get him to take a shower. He played outside today and got very dirty.

Pictures and Stuff

Right after I turned off the computer last week I found the cord to the camera. As always I thought I took more pictures than I did. I got a lot of pictures of Kylee, but not everyone else. Every time I tried to take pictures of my other nieces they covered their faces.

Here is Kylee in her bouncy seat.
My sister laid Kylee on the living rood floor and she started fussing so her favorite uncle just HAD to pick her up.
Here is a good picture of her pretty eyes. I don't want everyone to think she is my favorite niece (I don't have a favorite), it's just that she is the baby. Since I haven't been able to have another baby I've got to hold them while I can.
This week was pretty uneventful until yesterday. While I was washing clothes the washer started leaking a little. Curtis pulled it away from the wall and there was grease all over the floor under it. It is 30 years old. We got it from his parents before Zane was born. We decided to get a new washer so last night Zane and I went and priced them. We found the best prices at Lowe's so today we went and bought one. Of course the one we wanted wasn't in stock so we have to wait to get it. It is a front load washer, which I have been wanting, but it is white not red. I guess I can live with that. It is suppose to be delivered by next Saturday. Until then Curtis said I could use the old one since it is not leaking very much and if it dies I will have to go to the laundry mat.
I planted some tulips in my flower garden this week. I cheated and bought some that were already growing. Hopefully they will bloom and I will have pretty flowers all over.
I hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Drink one for me since I have to work and can't party.

I'm Still Alive

It's been awhile since I last posted. With Curtis asleep in the morning it is hard for me to type a lot. The computer is right next to where he sleeps and it wakes him up. Not much has really happened anyway.
Last Saturday we went to my parents for supper. Most of my family was there. I took some pictures. but I cant find the cable to download them into the computer. I have no idea where it is. It stays connected to the computer all the time but I went to download the pictures today and it was gone. I will have to leave a note for Curtis to find it tomorrow.
We have been enjoying the nice weather. Yesterday Zane and I raked the leaves out of my flower garden. My tulips are already coming up but they don't look very good. This year I hope to plant some more flowers so my flower garden doesn't look like a patch of dirt with weeds growing in it.
I am not looking forward to working this weekend. I already don't get enough sleep and with the time change it will be even worse. I will probably be in a lovely mood all weekend.
I will try to post some pictures soon.

Hair Picture

Here is the picture of my hair. The picture didn't turn out very good. I had Curtis take several with different flashes but none of them look very good. I ended up rinsing the kool-aid out at 4:30 yesterday. The red was in long enough but the green could have been left in a lot longer. The picture looks like there is a green glob in the center of my hair but I think it is just my shirt showing through.
Not much is going on today. I just watched last nights episode of Gray's Anatomy on line. I have to do a little laundry today and should clean up the house some. Tonight we are going out to dinner to celebrate Curtis's new shift and we need to get Zane a new pair of shoes.

Hair Time

I am bored. I should be looking for a new job but I don't feel like it. I decided to re-dye my hair today. I did the back just like last time. I thought I only had red Kool-aid but I found a kind called green apple so I used it too. I don't know how well it will turn out. I am planning on leaving it on my hair until this evening. Hopefully I can last that long before it annoys me and I have to wash it out. Right now I have the top part of my hair pulled up in a bun on top of my head. I have three baggies over my hair in the back, held on with bobby pins and old hair ties. It is not very comfortable, but I smell really fruity.
Curtis got a different job bid at work. He will be working different hours. Now he can't be forced to work overtime on the weekends and if I get forced in during the week he will be home to get Zane on the bus. I might even volunteer for some overtime to get a little extra money.
I will try to get Curtis to take a picture of my hair tonight so I can show you.

Shopping Therapy

It's been a while since I last updated. A lot has happened since the last post. Last Friday my husband and I found out that the place we both work will be closing next summer. Right now I don't know what we are going to do. He is looking for another job, but I don't think I will until after this summer. I am glad that we have a lot of time to find other jobs.
I really haven't done much this week. Zane was sick again Monday and stayed home from school. Tuesday he had a snow day so he had a really long weekend. Wednesday I went shopping and got a lot of stuff for my friend, Patty. Her house burned down and she lost everything. Yesterday I took it to her. Curtis took me out for supper last night. I wasn't feeling very good or I would have colored my hair with Kool-Aid when I got home. Today Zane was out of school for a teacher in service day. We went to the mall and shopped for a new pair of shoes for him and me, but we didn't find any we liked. We did find some great deals at Old Navy. Sometimes shopping and finding great buys makes your day a lot better so I decided to take pictures of what we bought and how much each cost.

This is for my niece, Kylee. $0.97 reg. $16.50
Another dress for Kylee. $0.97 reg. $19.50
A vest for Curtis or ME. $0.97 reg. $49.50
A sweater for me. $0.97 reg. 34.50
Swim shorts for Zane. $9.37 reg. $12.50
I spent under $15 on stuff that would have been over $132 if it wasn't on clearance. Of course I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't marked down. Anyway, it feels good to save that much money.
Zane is a going to a birthday party tomorrow at a hotel with an indoor pool. They are going to go swimming and have pizza and cake. That is why I had to get the swim shorts.
I guess that is enough for today. I will try to update again soon.
